Petty takes on the Nuzlocke challenge by playing Leafgreen in Hard Mode! Will her character "Locke" make it to the Elite 4? What does her rival, Gary, want? Will mewtwo destroy her team?
All this and more as the story unfolds!
SEQUEL COMIC: A PETTY NUZLOCKE CHALLENGE: HEARTGOLD EDITION
I had barely used this style EVER before this run.
I never meant it to become something that I put a lot of effort into, or that would actually develop a plot more than just puns or whatever.
It's crazy to think that something I'm working on is inspiring people to take a crack at it. <3
Seriously, it's crazy.
But yeah, if you start something and you like it enough to continue working on it, you'll improve, guaranteed.
Just keep working at it. :)
(Also, Mewtwo will be up next week sometime, I'm graduating from college this weekend so it's gonna be a crazy week for me!)
It's always so cool to see a big improvement chart like this. I think you've developed quite a unique style over the time. I mean it looks very cartoony, but when you make expressions, they work very well!
And I'm happy you like the drawing I sent you. ;u;
Memories
I love seeing how art progresses. Though I almost started crying again, especially once I saw Rick and the others again... They were so young! *bursts into tears*
And congrats on getting through college. I will be doing the same myself soon, so I know how you feel.
]The only really obvious change is Locke's hair. It started out kind of messy, looking like feathers, but now it's a consistent curve at the back. Also, Locke's bag changed, but there was an in-story reason for that.
The rest of the changes I noticed are subtle. Locke is taller now, and her arms are thicker. Also, her art is much cleaner - there are fewer stray lines, particularly on her face. So you've definitely gotten more experienced at drawing Locke, but you've managed to keep her art consistent. Nicely done.
Actually, I started drawing my Nuzlocke comic, expecting to improve my drawing human skills, because of practice, practice, practice. And yeah, you were part of the people who inspired me to make my own run, thanks again =)
For me, the best part was Part 8 ("onward to train") in its entirety. For any nuzlocking beyond Mewtwo, I would like an adventure that maintains a strong plot like there is now, yet still has the "puns and whatever" from the beginning chapters for the less relevant parts.
if there's anything I'm certain of, it's that you have been the only inspiration for me to take a crack at the nuzlocke challenge. most of the other ones just made me uninterested or whatever.
B'AWWWWWW
It's amazing to see this. Your comic is very amazing in many ways, and at first I didn't take it seriously (was reading it out of boredom) but I got so much into it now, I teared up (OH RICK ;w;) and I wanna do a Nuzlocke challenge because of you! YOU'RE AMAZING, KEEP UP THE AMAZINGNESS. And congratulations on graduating! xD
Just something I noted today.
